Olden day doctor:
Home visitations by doctors cure many ailments. Many problems are enviromental. If a kid has breathing problems and the doctor realises that there is damp and mould in the wall.
Dr's prescription. Move the bed to the inner wall of the room. Kid hets better. Dr explains to the parents why the child got sick. Father breaks out the wall does proper insulation and rebuilds.
Modern day MD:
Kid is sick and feverish. Parents make an appointment with their doctor. They go sit in his lobby with their ill child. The Doctor asks you whats wrong and takes your temperature. Prescribes a good serving of antibiotics and pain killers. Kid gets better and then gets way worse because the anti biotics weakened his gut and he is still sleeping next to the mouldy growth.
Thank god for the internet.
Modern medicine is a scam.
It would also be cool to see community funded studies to have data on alternative treatments that are normally frowned upon by doctors, but have actually helped patients in the past
