Curation of available apps would be useful imo. But not app “stores” in the Apple Store sense. Nostr doesn’t require gatekeeping 🙌

yea, i did not realise certain words have permanent negative imprints - but how does nostr solve discoverability of these tools? a new user today - how would they know highlighter exist?

Yes that’s useful and why I started nostrapps.com but didn’t have a chance to update lately.

If you have a chance to update it, and if any one client integrates it or enables pointing to it, would be interesting to see if the uptake of tools improves - if it does, I'm sure it would be a big boost to tool devs

yeah, I think there is *some* place for them, but I think discovery being completely non-existant on the legacy internet made the importance of app stores that much more important

whereas in nostr the discoverability of what's "available" will happen much more organically

especially considering that every discoverability case happens through your social graph, which means that you'll be more likely to run into apps you care about because they will be organically curated by your social graph which, one can expect, have similar/compatible interests
