"We are going to send a law by which if the central bank finances the treasury directly or indirectly (with money printing), the director of the central bank, the president and all the deputies and senators who vote for the money issuance will end up in jail."

Good morning. 🤔

GM Franny

What do u think about that law?

I think it's good for his country if he want to stop inflation and money printing in a hard way, what do you think?

If I was not a bitcoiner I would be really glad that they actually do something.

But as a bitcoin friend, I am worried that people won’t see benefit in bitcoin, when inflation isn’t a big problem anymore? And the control could continue a lot further/longer?

Could be an extreme thought.

I’m welcoming insights! But I also kinda agree with your thought.

I see, he also said, he want to start a system of money competition, i guess the people will be free to use the legal tender they preferred, i hope bitcoin will be part of it

That would be nice. Everything for our freedom and a quality life.

Why can't he simply impeach them? Seems more appropriate, for political appointees.

This seems extreme and a bit tyrannical.

Impeach, penalties, resignation or firing often doesn't work in a corrupted country, the bad actors end up in other position with even more power...

So... they are keeping the central bank and peso?

🤔🤔🤔

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

🤷‍♂️ i also thought he will eliminate the central bank, but i guess it's not that easy, he also said he will create a money competition, so there will be more than peso and maybe make the transition later to eliminate the central bank

It's a slippery slope. This was one of his main campaign promises, if he can't deliver, what else will he water down next?

Yes, it super hard and perhaps impossible with the support he has in the govt. Maybe he achieves the 2nd best alternative to what he's promised, but this would be very concerning development if I have voted for him.
