When I was a boy, for 2 weeks I worked for a charity called 'Children's Leukaemia', and 2 years later, the boss of this charity was arrested for fraud on a massive scale. Nowadays, I assume ALL charities are cheating their donors in one way or other.

I'd recommend helping people you know directly rather than anonymous charirty pages. There are plenty of people out there who need help, and you can be sure that they get it when you deal with them directly
