It's not wholly fiatjaf's fault:

I believe he expected more ideologically-adherent developers to adopt Nostr and expand on it, rather than Twitter and fedi rejects who just HAVE to build in censorship technologies for when people hurt their fragile egos.

Even with that being said, I'd rather have Nostr as is than have it end up like the trash heap known as Deso.
