Question for the #bitaxe or #mining community - I saw on a pool's website that they will only send you your sats if you get over a certain threshold. It looked like it would take an absurdly long time for one bitaxe to reach that threshold. Do all pools have such thresholds? So basically, can a bitaxe only be a lottery ticket?

A lot of bitaxes are used to solo mine as a form of bitcoin lottery. When you want to pool mine you better bring a couple of extra bitaxes to get to the payout treshhold at least once a year.

buy a more powerful miner if one wants steady sats. I still think of any one device sub 10TH/s as a solo lottery miner
I probably will. Currently, though, the noise would cause problems for me
I suggest remove a miner's OEM fans and use an airflow solution for hydroponic growing. check out 3D printed air shrouds for miners and 8" ducts. the question with inside hashpower is how to use or vent the heat.
