We tell our kids that monsters aren't real, but it's not entirely true.

I don't want to tell them that all you have to do is look in the mirror to see one. Out there are powerful psychopaths, idiots willing to kill because they've been told they are the good guys and the useful mob idiots. How bad does it need to get for a normal person, hungry, scared, tired, to also become a monster? To kill for food, safety, water?

Monsters are all around us, they look just like us, they are us. The only difference between us and them is how we act to those that matter in our our lives and when it matters when things get tough.
