I use it to store a small amount of sats that I can easily and cheaply swap back to lightning when I need to rebalance my lightning node. Cheaper than swapping from onchain btc each time and I think a bit more secure than holding sats in a lightning wallet that isnt self custodial.

I spun up a node, pegged in, made a couple assets for fun. Later on used boltz to pay some lightning invoices.
