I've played around with grapheneos and calyxos in the past. Also nearly bought one of he purism devices but they seemed expensive at the time. I'm now upgrading to a pixel 9a - same as you. Some good sales on due to Thanksgiving 🤗 managed to bag one for £319 GBP

MashaAllah! There's like five of us that just got the pixel 9a. We definitely should exchange notes as I have no idea or plan on the best way to use it. I just know I'm not logging into anything Google on it, going to be using it for Bitcoin and nostr stuff mainly

I got an invite from you, but it was kinda broken. Like raw JSON format or something. Honestly, I haven't really warmed up to KeyChat yet. As long as they don't support native Lightning with NWC, I don't think that'll change anytime soon.

It renders fine in keychat.

Not so on Primal and couldn't see it on Yakihonne

And by the way, you can still use the Google Play Store and all the apps in it. Log in anonymously, and you gotta put the sketchy apps into their own silo using secondary profiles. For work reasons, I still have WhatsApp on mine, for example, but if you properly isolate it from the rest of the system, I don't see any issues with that.
