ES just smash-bought the dip with IMF money. Having to disclose what you bought with their money is not necessarily bending the knee.
Even if the IMF knows exactly how much BTC they have and where it is on-chain, they can't exactly take it.

Exactly. Not even by force, unless they know who and how the keys are stored.
