One of my daughters is a nurse. She often talks about how some patients/people find it easy to “dump their trash can” on her.

She rolls with it pretty well but will be interesting to see if this changes when she finishes her Doctorate of Nursing program.

Centralized medicine is broken. Insurance and big Pharma coupled with government intervention doesn’t help.

I do give high credit to western medicine for ER trauma care. Beyond that it begins to get wonky.

I’ve often thought that medicine in the US is proficient for acute triage nearly exclusively. If you’re suffering with chronic illness or seeking wellness, look elsewhere. The individuals involved largely mean well, but the machine they’re a part of makes the things they would choose as a treatment impossible for liability and dogmatic reasons much of the time. The AMA makes flow chart automatons out of even the most brilliant people in the profession.
