For me, it’s very simple. Two words, free speech. No longer do I feel like I am walking on egg shells or l I have to curb what I say because I don’t want to get booted. I truly feel free. Bitcoin is just a welcome by-product.
The fediverse was well intentioned, but suffers from the same issue as the big platforms, you’re at the mercy of the admin of your instance.

Yeah, for the most part, everyone is pretty friendly. I only have about ten people muted, which is nothing in the big picture.
Yeah I’ve muted a small number of actual people. Lotsa bots though 😂
