Whoever still turns their phone off or puts it on airplane mode when flying, don't trust them. They're the ones who do what they're told without question.

I remember when I was 18, flying from GVA to LDN I was sending SMS whilst the plane was taxiing for takeoff, I was threatened by a woman sitting next to me that I might put everyone's life in danger if I don't turn off my phone.

Do I sound to you like someone who listens to randos on a plane? These people are still living under rules from outdated data dating back to the 1960s.

*Ok, ok, If you do it to conserve battery, you are forgiven.

I refuse to put my phone into airplane mode until I can't get a signal anymore and only do it to save battery lol.

Same for me. I keep it on, until I can no longer connect. Then, I turn my phone off to save battery for when we land.

If I'm flying international, I put my phone on airplane mode to avoid roaming fees while I'm there.
