Goes all the way to the bottom on both sides, and has drywall screws up and down the submerged parts.

It’s not going anywhere

But will it get brittle and crack, especially under load?

Still badass. And a good anchor for things that want to fly away in storms.

Sure, but I meant cracking at the protrusion point.
