Yes, that's what I'm thinking.

The only hesitation I have is that I've seen Dell computers that lose power completely switch back to the default BIOS setting, which will make the Windows OS unbootable (I am not sure how Linux would handle it).

I think that's a risk I am willing to take, as I can fix it if needed or tell people what to change in the BIOS if I can't physically get to it.
