there's some hippy dippy permaculturists, but most understand that economics is part of all of it and like everything these days there are some propagandists & scammers but for the most it's easy to spot them.
search for geoff lawton, jack spirko, joel salatin, nick ferguson, nicole sauce. smart successful people into permaculture.
i went down this rabbit hole almost 15 years ago. I'm out of debt. I lost 80 pounds and my bloodwork has gotten better & better eating better food, some of which i grew. I'm better prepared for whatever happens in my life because of it.
I hope you find it all as enlightening as I have.
