Truth is besides the tiny little name on the dial, some aesthetics only appreciable up close and a few seconds accuracy (maybe) or charm of excellent mechanical (still not as accurate and quartz), they’re a money hole.

I bought a sapphire crystal-lensed 24k gold accented Bering that people cream over — super elegant — and it was only maybe €150. Keeps time like a champ and looks better than the vast majority of people’s watches in the room. A win.
