damus.io will be a nip05 provider and lightning node. each user will have a functioning lnaddress and bolt12address. lightning payments received to these addresses will generate lightning tip events which can be viewed on profiles and posts in Damus.

No, I don’t think I’m doing the custodial approach. There are many better alternatives now.

We think #[4]​ might be able to provide an on-demand LN wallet soon (custodial service). Supports NIP-05, NIP-57 and has implemented a zap split capability. Aiming to have something in production by this fall..
