I'm 20k blocks away from having my first Bitcoin node synced and ready to go! Once I have LND up and running, I'll surely check you guys out. Can't wait to be a part of it!

That is my next endeavour on my bitcoin journey…any tip or places you can direct me for best practices?

I think it might depend on how technical you are. Have to start with hardware. I had an old computer kicking around and decided to use that. I know raspberry pi 4 are very popular but prices are super inflated and hard to get a hold of. You might be better served with a laptop or older used computer.

I watched YouTube vids from BTC Sessions and Ministry of Nodes to get started. I also asked a bunch of questions on Nostr. The community here is an insanely valuable resource!

I have a pretty basic setup Raspberry Pi setup that I built around two years ago before the insane price jump. I spent under $100 for all the hardware (minus the SSD), and there’s no way I’d spend double for the same thing now. I’d definitely use different hardware now.

In this order: research node privacy, then source reliable data, then run/sync Bitcoin Core, and then run/set up wallet with Sparrow.

Epic much appreciated!!
