Again, that’s not how it works and not what happened. It’s too complex to state here, which is why most people don’t take the time to understand it (or even have the mental capacity to do so), but here’s a summary: People were given a choice to live in the country as long as they accepted Israel’s right to exist. Many chose yes and they live with happily with civil rights that would not be afforded to them in other Muslim theocracies. Other’s chose to leave.
