Wallet of Satoshi - No KYC, but gave the united states the middle finger like a true bitcoiner would, so you'll need a VPN to use it, but it's the wallet all the OGs started with when nostr was created and has been here since the beginning.

I use strike for some KYC DCA, but don't like tying my ID to my social media stuff, especially NOSTR.

With wallet of Satoshi, would I need to be running an outside of US VPN always, or just during setup and such. for example, of I am using WOS for Zaps, will it not work if my IP is in the US?

Yes. You will need to set your VPN outside of the US to open the app itself and send/recieve.

That said, you dont need to have your VPN set outside the US to recieve zaps from others on nostr, or send zaps to others

(at least on amethyst it'll let me zap without a VPN on at all as long as i have the balance already in WoS to do so)

so if I'm understanding.

setup WOS outside of US, get some SATs on there and link NOSTR client.

then I can zap to and from without the VPN?

I am trying to make this happen. Primal need NWC and I was able to zap with Amethyst, but it required to confirm with the WOS app. thoughts?

I would avoid primal at all costs. Kyc for the wallet, what's next?

Should be able to set auto zap amount in the settings of WoS.

This will make it so when zapping on amethyst you won't have to press confirm in WoS when it comes up, it'll just send it, and you click back to open up amethyst again.

I'm in Amethyst and have the auto zap selected but still opens WOS. I am able to open this page though.

I have been testing Wallet of Satoshi. Downloaded from VPN outside US and worked fine sending g and receiving Zaps. Then turned VPN off, IP is from US, and it is still working fine....
