it is important more people know it to make them change their habit (or not if it is ok for them).
This is not new for you, but perhaps it is not for any other. So sometimes things have to be repeated, again, and again.

My point is that all of the increase in surveillance began even before the Patriot Act of 2001.

It is true but is was more hidden.
Now they are proud to say each time they enforce surveillance and how. And it is always to fight against a good reason, and improve security, which is completely wrong.
They are just making people more angry about it. And i am sure they will pay for that one day, because they still think they are unreachable.
This century will be the one of many changes, and for a better thing.
Thanks to #nostr there is a place censor free, it is a good step.
