We ended up with two 16 foot beds empty after planting this years annual garden, drop some plants in the comments of what you think we should fill the gap with.

Winter squash or beans. For cover crop id try mung bean with sudan sorghum or whatever annual you have extra seed of... use it up

Maybe a few perennial plants, I like rhubarb and strawberries.

We have both of those in another spot, perennials in a different area

What about something that just looks nice? Call it a “bee garden” or a “hummingbird garden” with decoratives that attract pollinators.
