Tent caterpillars. They both build a tent and their wings, at rest, are tent shaped.

Open slopes are blooming with bright yellow flowers; Arrowleaf balsamroot.

Longleaf flox grows trailside.

This is super-chill spot surrounded by oaks and maples.

This is a Julia Orangetip. Julia must be pretty cool.
