Facebook-Instagram whistleblower Katie Harbath says intervention from governments and tech companies is urgently needed to avoid political violence incubating in the future. Facebook-Instagram algorithms have a history of amplifying violence and genocides. Although Facebook-Instagram keeps promising to change their algorithms there seems to have been no meaningful long term changes per former employees. Facebook-Instagram should give people globally the option to turn algorithms off.
