Astronauts returning from spacewalks have described space as smelling of seared meat, hot metal and welding sparks.

They smell the spacesuits once there are back on board.

It could be because:

- their suits interacting with the external conditions in a space

- radiation

- or something else

Okay, my desire to be an astronaut is not so strong anymore.
