Ironically though, wouldn't this be a rare case where KYC could make the "problem" of hackers printing duplicate barcodes to resell a moot point? 🤷‍♂️

I hate KYC as much as the next guy, but this argument re: ticketmaster seems like an own goal 😕

Remember when you could just go to the counter hand over cash and they gave you a piece of cardboard you could exchange for a wristband, what happened to that? Was it really that bad?

Ticketmaster _does_ allow you to buy tickets using a throw-away email address, fake name & address, one-time virtual credit card, and fake mobile number - at least in Europe.

No need for KYC ...
