Exactly, biomimicry of elephants followed by fire. Ideally I would just put the biochar back on that same ground, but that would only make economic sense if I owned it or got 30 year leases.

this is v fascinating. for years I've been mulling over integrating woodgas into my energy resilience system, but positioning it as part of a forest management as a service program is super cool.
