Really happy with this find. The cover illustration is beautiful and it's mainly (or so far) piano arrangements!

Dual LP also in excellent contrition. Pressed in Prague, 1975.

I really need to do some better music browsing when I'm back there. I'll blow off most of BTC prague and head to see my friend Max and Maximum Underground (best record store in Prague, btw).

Damn. I heard some american christmas polka song just this morning and thought "I'm so happy we left our rural 1800's behind us"๐Ÿ˜†

I thought this would be like that but it's just really nice piano! At least on this side so far.

Smetana is one of our best, I shed a tear over Vltava anytime and have recommended it here many times. But Polka just rips my face off.

I like the folk singing! But somehow, once an accordion and a tuba comes out it changes a bit.

Have some slovak brothers of mine. https://youtu.be/fkm5D9iFgXk?si=e2Hrvrvh2zw9_T0z #slovakstr

Well, if you come across any trumpet sheet music for said music, keep me in mind ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm still not great though.

TRUMPET????

Yeah I dabble. My upper register is pretty limited though. I played a French Horn for years, but it's too much. So I'm back on trumpet now (which I also played in my youth).

I can impress my family ๐Ÿ˜€

For the poetry I'm doing it's perfect though, I just need a small three not accent here and there. I put in a harmon mute and it's sounds all raw and jazzy.

It's like I know what I'm doing ๐Ÿ˜€

So cool. I tried french horn recently, and can honestly say this thing is one moody and mysterious bitch.

It is, is so difficult ๐Ÿ˜ซ but wow, when played by somehow who has studied it, it can sound so majestic and/or so foreboding.

I credit the French horn for giving me an appreciation of the Orchestra and I'm forever grateful. But, in my hands, you don't want to hear it ๐Ÿ˜€

Although, I can rent one for a month, maybe I should try to remeber the pain.

If you want to go hardcore, get Rusalka from Dvoล™รกk. Your people sing it in Czech anyway, but get the original for the real ล™.

And played on a 120xbt (by the looks of it) should sound good, as well.
