But do you like how is it written? I honestly like the message, but I didn't find her writing style enjoyable. It might be due to the translation, but it made me feel like I'm reading a cheap romantic pulp fiction for most of the time.
Well— since I read them as a teenager it is hard to imagine what might have more impact than a love story based on political philosophy and ideas — which to this day I am still seeking validation on — my ideas of romance and romantic attachments and economic/ political philosophy were forged back then regardless of her writing style….
When I read it I was much older and the socio-econo-political messages was not novel to me. I was essentially catching up with the classic, so maybe that is why I'm more critical to the writing style. I never thought about it from the perspective that the style is making it easier to digest.
