How do you use coinjoin? And if all your bitcoin is KYC does it matter?

Recommend you check out Sparrow Wallet. It's by far the best wallet in terms of making the process understandable: https://www.sparrowwallet.com/docs/mixing-whirlpool.html#why-coinjoin

That’s desktop only right? I use my phone 99% of the time

Ah yep, this is desktop only - can't speak to mobile CoinJoin wallets unfortunately. There's surely gotta be some options though - especially if you're using Android 🤔

As for having KYC Bitcoin, that's probably the best reason to do it.

As per Sparrow Wallet docs:

"The structure of this [CoinJoin] transaction makes it impossible to trace ownership of funds with any certainty. In addition, when several ‘rounds’ of coinjoins are made in sequence, the probability of an analysis drops significantly with each round."

Its worth setting up a “bitcoin computer” On Linux. Sparrow paired with core is fantastic

Wadabi wallet can coinjoin easily.

Zapped for being helpful

Well thank you! Just a correction (typo) it's wasabi wallet. There are also some good security practices to follow after coinjoin you coins to keep them private.

Sparrow wallet has a pretty pain free mix ability and can mix directly into a HW. I think its advantageous when you receive non KYC sats to label the UTXO’s for the future to keep them separated (can also be done in Sparrow). I think you need a non kyc stack only if the govt goes hard in the paint- which they might.

Kinda depends on the user but if you don’t want your banker to know your financials why would you do that on BTC 🤷🏽‍♂️

Coinjoin is passive with Wasabi Wallet, but you need a desktop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbOAbXjzBJg

If all your Bitcoin is KYCed, then it matters even more that you coinjoin to protect your privacy.
