In 1965, the minimum wage was $1.25, five silver quarters.

Today, just the melt value of five silver quarters is $27.

It's the same silver, just a different currency.

According to official inflation numbers, that 1.25 in 1965 would be 12.48 today.

The CPI is a lie and always has been. They aren't going to tell you the truth about how much they stole.
