I'm really positive about the tariffs. I know they're not good for our economy. Obviously. But they're still good for **_us_**.

On my first trip overseas, in college and literally just because college is too boring, I discovered a thriving black market in.... Blue jeans. People were risking state theft and imprisonment for blue jeans.

Their government had/has a tariff on blue jeans. Because of this, jeans were super expensive, and wearing jeans was kinda like driving a lambo.

So naturally, there was a huge black market for blue jeans. Any time anyone took a trip overseas, especially to America, they loaded up an extra suitcase with blue jeans that they could turn around for something like 1000% profit. Of course, airports checked for it and people got arrested pretty regularly... But they did it anyways.

The **_HORROR!!_**

Bad policy encouraged **_criminality!!_**

Well... People shouldn't abide by bad policy. That black market in blue jeans raised the standard of living, while teaching people a valuable lesson. Without that bad policy, people wouldn't run into a serious question about their character : in recognizing the stupidity of the policy, they must choose - will they be cowards and obey they tyrants, or will they make some small, secretive act of defiance?

All things work to the greater good.

What a harvest we will reap!! A harvest of good people - good by proof of work, confrontation, adversity, and testing ; not by some weak and untested belief.

no longer than a week a policy of "erasing junk food out of schools" made appear kids smuggling cheetos and sodas to the classroom for sell. indeed there could be many angles result of public policies...

My only issue with this reasoning is, how many are willing to black market other things with over the top taxes? How much barter do you see to avoid income tax? Why is this the magic step in cruelty that will suddenly wake people up?

British tax rates on the American colonists was 5-7%. Some had the will to freedom to do something about it but Canada for example didn't join the revolution and is still under thumb.

I think British taxes were lower... But I'm no expert. I'm just wary of these numbers creeping in certain directions, like the holocaust numbers, which have changed significantly since the 1940's.

I wouldn't say it will wake up enough people to make the phase shift to a free world... But its a point for our team. Its the other team fucking up. We'll gain numbers ; they'll be backed into a position where they must show their face, and we'll gain more numbers. If the phase shift ever happens, this is on the path. I hope...

In general Bitcoin and freedom will win, but the oscillations along the way may suck. I think bad things from leadership can make deeper dips in the trend line.

Fancy way of saying the slow and gentle path has less human suffering than the high time preference path.

I'd like a pony too. Knowing I'll most likely get a kick in the nuts instead doesn't mean I should stop wishing for a pony and start wishing for a kick in the nuts.

As you know I'm not a supernaturalist at all but our collective belief shapes our collective actions which does change the outcomes.

So I plan to continue to demand a pony and a peaceful transition from Fiat to Bitcoin.

i think it will be good but who knows what the real agenda is... from a strategic perspective, the idea seems to mainly be to take away the advantage china has in globalism and the amount of resources they are gathering and applying towards making the decline into global communism continue its trajectory

really, i think that they are trying to back track, loosen the screws, until the people stop screaming but anyone who can see what is going knows there will be no stopping these people until we find a way as small groups of people to impede the globalisation trainwreck continuing towards dystopia

trump is not doing it for our benefit, he's just their screws-loosener guy, their controlled opposition

if trump was really a problem the US dollar would not be at the centre of the plans

IMO, there has been a plan to put China in charge of the world, and end all notions of human rights anywhere on earth, with the ultimate goal of exterminating humanity. First destroy the human spirit, then destroy us completely. For a while, I held out hope that America would fight it, like the rebels have a chance. But its obvious now that America is ruled by the same people who want humanity gone. We could fight tyranny by being free - but instead, we're just as oppressed as the Chinese. We have global communism now - its just a matter of how in your face it is.

it is just a matter of surviving because communism doesn't last... eventually will strike the iceberg of economic reality

i think the people trying to orchestrate this think that if they do it slow enough it will work but they skipped ahead so fast in 2020 they have to dial it back but even if they try to keep pushing it after this point, the frog has woken up and is gonna find a way out of the pot

I don't think the frog has woken up. The most awake people I could find during covid was Christians, and none if them defied the closure of the churches. There was that one church in Canada, run by a polish immigrant, and his token resistance was cool, but did not inspire more resistance. Everyone in America is hopelessly cucked. The Christians are cucked, and they're the most awake out of any group.

We're headed to global oppression and then extinction. Our side has no points on the board.

it's only really been about 120 years of the current system, and prior to that in the majority of the world, power never got this centralized

the odds are very much against them surviving the coming geomagnetic shift because everything they need to maintain control depends on electricity

there's about a 20% chance it happens within 2 years, and 60% chance it happens within the next 12 and 100% certainty within about 25 years

we only have to survive and move to high ground and prepare for a few decades of back to the steam age, who cares about the stupid people who are comfortable with their illusions, reality will dawn, there's nothing they can do to stop it, and they will beg us to get on our arks but that's just not gonna happen
