😂😂 we’ve already won, and it’s only round 2

Substack is not long for the world.

One last hurrah and bull-run for subscription-based businesses. Can’t blame them.

With a closed platform, clever cross-selling and 10% cut on all subs… they’re definitely going to make it rain for a while longer

Substack may not be around forever but can’t deny that it nurtured a healthy trend of independent journalism. Any take on which platform will be the next best place for hosting long-form content? Nostr?

They know it’s borrowed time.

Why did Substack want to directly compete with Twitter?

They need to build their network graph up and reduce dependencies. Otherwise it’s not long term viable.

Not verified? Must be a bot

Verification is for Web 2.0.

Especially with Nostr powered long form content sites like Habla.news, Blogstack.io, self hosted solutions like written, and nblog, once these writers learn about Zaps, they'll come around.

Did they fork snort in light mode? Lol

Someone please check connections. I would die if it’s a web socket connection to some proprietary relay server.

Pfff! Not a single foot in those pics. Amateur hour over there.

Didn’t Microsoft have “notes” a couple decades ago?
