Putin's Pro-Peace Opponent Vows Push to Stay on the Ballot
==========
Boris Nadezhdin, a pro-peace Russian presidential hopeful, is vowing to continue fighting for a chance to appear on the ballot in March after the Moscow Central Election Commission (CEC) found flaws in over 15 percent of the signatures turned in alongside his application. Nadezhdin, a former member of the State Duma, has campaigned as a member of the Civic Initiative party and a principled opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his decision to invade Ukraine. He filed papers to officially challenge Putin in the election after collecting at least 100,000 voter signatures. The CEC is expected to make a final decision on Nadezhdin's application on Wednesday. Putin is anticipated to win reelection in March, with 51.1 percent of Russian voters saying he best represents their interests.
