Yep! Didn’t know signal was open-source 🤔

Tried SimpleX. Everyone complained about battery life. Signal piggybackas on google play services for push notification so it doesn't drain the battery.

In a short while signal will let you hide your phone number. It's in beta now

I've been using SimpleX for about two weeks now and have not notices a significant difference in battery life.

I heard the same but decided to give it a try. Hoping it stays workabke for me.
