That’s exactly why it’s freedom money. #bitcoin secures our money, our future purchasing power and liberates us to not have to endlessly earn in constantly depreciating fiat terms. There really is no second best!
Respectfully, I disagree, it's about self-control, and sovereignty, now maybe that's valuable, or maybe you need wealth to truly be sovereign but the early Bitcoin narrative wasn't about appreciation, it was about focusing on a digital money that opposed the systems that cause inflation, and other corrupt practices in fiat systems.
Whether that goal brings the value we see now is up for debate, or if it's appreciation, or speculation.
Is Bitcoin inherently what it's worth now, or are people piling money into it as a get rich quick thing, would people take their money out of it if Doge, or something else moved faster?
