the tip jar showed up after I pasted https://getalby.com/p/dowstudios. I would thought it would be a set of bitcoin numbers. So that would mean the tipper will have to use the alby extension to tip, right? I would think it would be "wallet to wallet" transfer.

so Alby is my bitcoin wallet, right? I know I got two sets of numbers but they begin with npub1 and nsec1. Is that how a bitcoin addresses begin? Like 0x for Etherium.

npub is your nostr public key

nsec is your nostr private key

Never share your nsec. That should be kept private.

Alby is only a Bitcoin lightning wallet. Lightning is a second layer on top of Bitcoin mainchain.

For a Bitcoin mainchain you need another wallet.

On Nostr we use Lightning.
