I am only a few years younger and I still could pass for a 20-something as recently as 2021 (according to the guy who bought the house when I moved I looked 25).

Genetics may have something to do with that as well.

But I do think relationships might have their role. That's part of the reason I got back into the dance world. But it's a double edged sword because then you meet hot girls and suffer regretful feelings and so on. But it's not bad to practice socializing either because then you don't stand out quite as much as a dissident in a totalitarian society, you blend in more.

A lot of the social scenes were also crumbling even before covid, and they were made worse by the lockdowns. We live in a low trust society now and you can really see it in every circle. The dance world in particular was hit hard by the lockdowns and is only just now starting to recover from the damage with new people showing up again.

by relationships i didn't mean just romantic relationships. i also meant having friends etc.

solitary confinement is considered a form of torture because humans need interaction.

read a blog by somebody who was in solitary confinement in Iran and he said he only survived because he had a TV.

i don't know to what extent things like Movies and Porn can replace real human interactions but the point is you cannot feel like you're in solitary confinement or you will literally die.

That's also what I meant. I did not join in any social activity with the sole intention of getting a GF. In fact that was the least of my intentions in doing so. While it may seem surprising, the dance world has a fair number of high IQ people and it's not the worst place to socialize or meet people. It's just that you will inevitably meet hot girls too and then it complicates things...

Whenever I get involved with women in fact, since the past decade, it's usually by accident when I meet them in some situation but I'm never actually trying to.

i am suddenly reminded of one time i went out to hit on girls with a mentally disabled friend who was drugged out of his mind and spent his entire days hitting on girls.

i wanted to see him in action - he didn't have a car and i had a BMW so he agreed and we went first to the beach and then to the mall.

at the mall all the 13 year old girls were stalking us but we didn't talk to them because i didn't want to go to prison. then we saw an Asian woman with her boob out breastfeeding her baby and my friend just approached her and started talking to her while she was breastfeeding. i was right beside him. she was completely unbothered by two strangers approaching her while she had her boob out like that and had a completely normal conversation with us smiling the whole time.

i also had some experiences where i was almost killed as well for approaching girls on the street with an attitude where a group of guys were just out of sight nearby.

the moral of the story is simple - no matter how ridiculous approaching a girl may seem the chance she will talk to you is NEVER zero. but stay positive or you might get killed. if you're positive the worst thing that can happen is you will be told to get lost.
