How come cross-platform IM is not a thing yet?
Like communicate between Matrix and Wire?

I know nothing of this, but recently thought the same. But don't we already have Element? Although it's not Nostr based.

Element is the Matrix chat client
There should be something like “One ID” that lets you use any IM
