I love Morphine, listened to them since I was 15. To me this song is about the challenge of avoidance and dissociation. “I lost everything I had — in starting over from the scratch”

That sax. Wow.

Yeah, such a warm sound. It was a tenor and baritone sax welded together played by the same guy (Dana Colley). Put this track on blast for full effect! https://open.spotify.com/track/6duiokdiw9dEJe7PEgK30h?si=9Ia-9vUVSg-nZ3yh4_44tA&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A4hjF5ylcCM1AeJ2F4SaQKL

Great song 👍 perfect for long evenings

I think Sandman and Satoshi both disappearing relatively early has been big for the longevity of their respective projects.

I was stoked to see them live for the first time, in 1999 - they were coming to play in my home town of Bruges! (Cactus Festival) Was surreal to hear the news that Sandman had died from a heart attack on stage… the rest of the band did come, I believe the next year, to play Morphine songs - was special to see that concert.

I love Morphine. A fantastic band unlike any other.
