Do you think the governor will sign it into law, if passed?

Who the hell knows. She’s historically a veto machine. 🤣

Who is our governor btw?

Katie Hobbits

Oh yeah! She looks like that other one… Cinema? 🤣

Sinema was about those CrYpTo donations.

Yeah they look alike. The Dem chicks like to wear similar thick framed glasses. It’s a thing. 🤣

They come right outta central casting

Has she ever stated anything about Bitcoin? Not that I expect it to be favorable if she did.

I doubt it and I doubt any politician will do anything to learn rather than pander

Ethics are more important than ever.

I’m skeptical that any of the morons truly have our best interest in mind. Ever.

Agreed, but it would be interesting to track her takes pre- and post-election. Being a politician, I expect her to go as the popular wind blows.

Exactly. Can’t be trusted.

Also afraid people will see this as “trendy” due to sudden interest. So many ways for people to misinterpret it.

And people who don’t like a politician who supports bitcoin will automatically dislike it based on “I don’t like the side they are on so it must be bad”

Satoshi was right to be an anon.

Never trust a politician, no matter what they say. If they shake your hand, better count your fingers kind of thing.

Don’t trust politicians, or people with green hair

But purple hair is a go

😬

😂

Not that I’m aware of. I don’t expect much either.

I hope NY is the last state in the union to bring this up, and all because of Brad Garlinghouse

lol, when I search for this, all i get is other years the legislature used 'SB 1025' for a session. it's crazy to me that they recycle the numbers every session!

So is this a bill for the State to buy bitcoin ?

cool. i dont know how good i feel about State's buying assets in general ( think im pretty against it...should just provide services they can afford), but i guess from a pragmatic standpoint it will be good for the States to try and hedge against Federal gov't currency devaluation.

Yeah I’m not crazy about it. Just funny Arizona’s happens to be somehow winning this states race out of nowhere.

Just remove the capital gains and treat it like cash and I would be content.

yes! laws that free btc to be used peer to peer is what i want to see and what we should all want to see. The strategic reserve hype confuses me (outside of the obvious NGU reasoning). Ironically, I think any peer to peer liberalization would have a far greater impact on NGU than a State simply buying some to put in their Treasury or whatever.
