Everyday I receive more reminders of how lucky I was to be raised in a community where 5-10 kids was common and animals were outside and were kept for their utility (farm). Human dignity was inherent and animals were created for human use, not the other way around. Now I visit my childhood friends and wonder what the hell happened when I see an indoor dog. Not too far from nobody knowing what a doghouse is.
