So here’s a question, let’s say starts align people wake up and #bitcoin become the world reserve currency. At current tx speeds and level 2 protocols like lighting will we have a sat based economy for day to day purchases or will there be a PoS alt that pegs value to let’s say 1/10 a sat. Allows fast instant finality but has conversion rate to allow the rest of the world to buy/sell at speeds they are accustomed to.

Let’s take #Algorand as an example. Near instant payment finality & control over what assets you allow to be placed in your wallet.

Algorand is fast because no one uses it.

Lightning is already as fast as algorand and implements payments down to a thousandth of a sat, though rounding to a full sat is required to close the channel on chain and I don't know of any wallets that implement the smaller denomination. Anything else requires trusting a third party not to debase the currency.
