Strategic reserve will destroy your privacy and have your Bitcoin seized and also fork Bitcoin while preventing forks in Bitcoin. It'll cause the price to crash and cause it to pump.

I've actually heard all of this. People are still running around scared as shit despite holding Bitcoin for years. I imagine it's worse on Twitter.

I have zero doubt the us govt would try to lift the cap and fork in the process … very possible

I thought up a scenario where they accept taxes in Bitcoin, fork to a higher cap, and only accept taxes on their chain. But that just seems idiotic. Just idiodic enough that they'd try it.
