Last year the IRS hit me with a 6 digit bill. I got an accountant and it was reduced to 3 digits. Big win but still a loss. The IRS is a thief of grant proportions. Last time I use centralized exchanges! Lessons learned.

I'm using Cointracker and missing an xpub from when I consolidated different wallets. That's making each send/receive count as a sell/income and generating a return that's guaran-fucking-teed to flag me for an audit.

I should've gotten a CPA but I procrastinated and this is just a fucking mess now.

Also read a post from someone who got audited for similarly not being able to prove sends/receives were just transfers and they basically ruined the dudes life when he didn't do anything wrong except not have receipts. FUBAR

Just get a cpa to help you dude. They are expensive but worth it. I just run my shit through Koinly and send the csv files associated to the 1099k to my cpa.

Yep. I've learned my lesson. Unless I can figure this out this weekend I'll file an extension and get professional assistance.
