Email is dead.
they've said this so many times, i stopped counting. similar to "bitcoin is dead". just not true.
more, nostr is based on the same architecture... and it's very not dead
I didn't mean it in the tech utility way, I meant it in the social utility way, people simply don't email anymore because they have DM's, WhatsApp and Messengers.
Even at the office, most people avoid sending emails to avoid unnecessary attention from superiors, they only send an email when there's an important development or task. Most people are subconsciously aware that emails are monitored.
not sure about that bud, most companies till this day, are still heavily utilizing email. i can tell from my own experience as well. it's not email only but rather a mix of signal, email, IM. but calling it dead is not true IMHO.
*Centralized* & well-maintained email just works π
