When a beverage distributor feels compelled to talk about ‘beliefs’ you just know shit went south. nostr:note1muc4wtmy6n9d9xtrzpp0tg9qedph373pjjw0jjjk20hayq5dzrvq50ljt7

My main interest in this story is how deep ESG runs.
We’ve seen a massive drop in sales but the share price hasn’t dropped correspondingly (after initial drop).
My hunch is we’ve reached an altogether new level of corporatism where these pro-ESG moves which would otherwise be detrimental to business are going to be ‘covered up’ by the giant financiers propping up share prices so that companies aren’t dissuaded from following with similar campaigns.
Will be interesting to see where both sales and share price are after 3 months and if market forces are at work or the mechanism has been corrupted.
Reminds me of those classic cartoons where they are on a canoe and holes start leaking. They plug each one with fingers and toes. Eventually all the ressources are spent and one more pops up, breaking the camel's back.
