It was a big deal lol

yeah! there was never a touch screen phone at that point, it was pure magic

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N95

But of course the iPhone was on another level

was this a touch screen?

Oh, you are right, it was not a touch screen! The matte display confused me :D

(and I also owned it, oofff)

It looks nice! I had a Nokia as well, but it was not as fancy.

We are so easy to impress. ๐Ÿ˜…

It is a shame we only live a X amount of years. Would be crazy to see what is possible in 100 years

yeah. Though, maybe that's a good thing lol. In 100 years we might be in total dystopia if shit don't turn around fast

I think every society thinks like this. I compare it what must people have thought when riding a horse when the car/airplane came. Everything changes always maybe that the learning we need to do here ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Feudalism and slavery lasted for centuries. It's entirely possible we could be living in totalitarian AI hell for centuries as well.

The difference is we always had some further "worse" we could get to, and that window is closing pretty quickly now. There isn't much worse beyond complete control over the individual with the help of AI. To escape that hell might be close to impossible.

Mmm true but I always like to see the positive ๐Ÿ™ Mandela was the biggest example of this https://i.nostr.build/ZQOx.webp

Interesting that he equates optimism to resisting despair and defeat.

I don't really see things that way. You can be optimistic, but also acknowledge the other side of things. All the things that could / might go wrong.

Luckily we still can think the way we like and let each other be who we want to be. As long we keep discussing things it will be all right is my humble opinion. ๐Ÿ™

And for me I can better draw โœ๏ธthan talk๐Ÿค

My grandmother is 100 years old, and I talked to her about it, and she agreed that it was crazy to go from candlelight to video conferencing and air travel (I took her on a plane for the first time when she was 96 years old), but at the same time everything was quite "natural"; we are good at getting used to comfortable things.

I bet this was considered equally cringe and silly at the time of this video. Outside of the conference-simp crowd that is, obvs

"holy shit that looks photoshopped" xD

that was funny

yeah this designer must have a very deep knowledge of history
