You need to go spend some time on Bluesky’s “what’s hot” feed if you don’t think algorithms are problems.

I don’t have bluesky and don’t have an interest in trying another platform.

I’m not saying there aren’t shitty algorithms. Of course there are.

And a chronological feed is an algorithm. It’s not a question of algorithm versus no algorithm. It’s which algorithm is right for which users.

The right algorithm is the one the user controls and can tweak/change or turn off. Discoverability on Nostr has much room for improvement. I agree with what you’re saying on that front. The crucial piece is leaving the user in control of their feed.
